FAQ

Who are Lime Interiors?

We are kitchen consultants and suppliers based in St Albans, Hertfordshire

What do you do?

We supply and fit high quality kitchens in a variety of styles ranging from the ultra contemporary to more traditional.

How can Lime Interiors help me?

We can provide you with a replacement or new kitchen depending on your needs. This service is available to both our retail and trade customers. We can also provide a makeover service to freshen up a tired kitchen without the cost of a completely new installation.

Do you have a showroom I can visit?

At present no we don’t have a showroom to visit. Not having a showroom enables us to keep our overheads to a minimum and allow us to be very competitive in price. We operate our business on a consultancy basis and therefore would be pleased to make an appointment to visit you at a convenient time. We can discuss all the options that are available, show you samples and help design your dream kitchen using advanced computer design software.

Do you install you kitchens?

Yes. We install all the kitchens we supply either by ourselves of through one of our authorised installers. We always make sure you are happy with the entire process of buying from us and therefore oversee the entire process.

Do you make your own cabinets/carcasses?

No. We don’t manufacture our products personally, we sell products from a variety of manufactures, bringing them together to ensure you get exactly the right kitchen..

If I place an order how long will it take to get my new kitchen?

Depending on which kitchen you order the process varies. After contacting us we will make an appointment for one of our designers to visit you. After discussing your requirements we will quickly send you a 3D design and provide you with a quotation. The time for the products to arrive will vary from 4 to 8 weeks depending on your choice. We will keep you fully informed of timescales before and during your order.

How much will a new kitchen cost?

This is very hard to answer as every kitchen is different and it entirely depends on which range of products you choose. We strive to remain the cheapest supplier of our products compared to companies who provide similar products and support. The service we offer to our clients is the most important thing to us. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment via cheque, BACS and using all major credit/debit cards.

Can you supply appliances?

Yes we can. We can obtain virtually any appliance you require from most manufactures. If there is something you need we shall do our best to find it.

Are your kitchens flat pack?

No. All our carcasses come preassembled from 18mm solid egger board and are glued, dowelled and colour matched to your choice of door.

What are the materials used for the carcasses?

All our carcasses are made out of a material called MFC. We only use Egger boards as a supplier, as this is the most expensive and best carcasse material in the industry. The difference being in comparison to (ie Kronospan or Thermopal etc) is the laminate is of a better quality and the chipboard is more compact with better materials. This lowers the chances of any chipping on edges during cutting. We can offer veneered carcasses as an upgrade.

How long typically does it take to build and deliver?

A complete kitchen normally takes 2 weeks to deliver from date of signed off order. If you are in a panic and really desperate, providing we could reschedule other jobs one could be supplied in less time

What is the construction process?

All our carcasses are glued and dowelled on a through feed press. All are backs are 18mm including wall units.

What makes your carcasses a superior construction to others?

We glue and dowel our units, giving more stength. We use 1mm thick ABS edging. unlike cheaper companies who use 0.4mm paper, which will chip.

What are the colour options?

As everything is made to order. we can provide you with all 255 colour choices, to match most doors with 99% accuracy.

What are some of the special features you can install into your units?

All our units are fitted with Blumotion soft close hinges as standard. We use GRASS for our drawers and as standard  have soft close mechanisms with 40kg weight capacity. All pullouts and wirework, bins, towel rails are made by Kessebommer all with soft close as standard.

What makes your units so unique?

We take the best bits that other kitchen manufacturers would do and put them all together to give a more superior product.

Can I fit the kitchen myself or find my own fitter?

Yes you may. We are happy to provide all components on a supply only basis.

What is an In-Frame Kitchen?

An in frame kitchen is  where the cabinet door is fixed to a surrounding frame of the same material as the door, using traditional hinges in either brass or chrome.
The door and surrounding frame are attached to the kitchen carcass as one piece. This gives the kitchen the look of a traditionally made cabinet with a hinged door inside a frame and in addition maintains all the practical benefits of a modern kitchen cabinet.
Please look through our Marpatt Bespoke range to see some examples.

I have found an excellent kitchen at a great price, can you match it?

We try our best to have the lowest prices for our high quality products. Please contact us to see if we can help you.

I am concerned about the environment, are your kitchens eco-friendly?

Yes. In particular our Marpatt products use materials from renewable or sustained sources wherever possible. The high quality solid wood doors are hand finished in France using the very best woods sourced from sustainable forestry.
